Students with parents who are involved in their school tend to have fewer behavioral problems and better academic performance, and are more likely to complete high school than students whose parents are not involved in their school.
Party To Achieve (P.T.A.)
The GPS Parental Involvement program, PARTY TO ACHIEVE, is a culturally-based program that utilizes an empowerment curriculum to guide and support intentional conversations about current challenges facing urban parents. We help parents with key principles to drive change in both parents and students.
Building upon their individual and collective strength, parents of all races discover ways to think differently about themselves, their children and their future.
Using culture as a lens, parents begin to envision an active family-based community in which they can thrive and grow. Participants acquire skills and tools to navigate successfully through life’s circumstances. The PARTY TO ACHIEVE Project is a refreshing blend of hope, help, pride and vision. These principles aid to drastically improve student achievement while establishing a culture focused on building a positive climate between school and home.
Research has shown that when parents are involved with their child’s education
Regardless of their income or background, students are more likely to succeed.
Our Parental involvement program will be a partnership between GPS Ed Services and the local school. PTA will serve as the comprehensive system for family and community engagement to provide families with the training, information and support needed to help them become full partners in education.
